I was recently caught up in the severe storms in Southeast Queensland, Australia, over the 2023 Christmas period.
I had no power for seven days and ran all my necessary equipment through the AC200MAX and used a small generator to charge it. That was a fridge and phone, computer, Internet (starlink), some lighting and the water pump from my house water supply.
The load sat “around” 300 W with the fridge spiking up near 2000 W when the compressor would engage.
I used the AC200MAX through the night and would deplete the battery to about 10% by the morning, and then I would turn on the generator, run a small air-conditioner and charge the battery. With the load on the AC200MAX, it was taking about 7 to 12 hours to charge back to 100%.
There was no problem with the single charger, but using the second charger to achieve 100% storage was a great advantage.
When I bought the AC200MAX, I did wonder why I would get a second charger for it, but when I needed to use it under the circumstances that it was designed for, it became clear why getting back to full charge quickly is desirable.
I purchased the AC200MAX specifically to cope with power outages. It sits in my kitchen cupboard and gets used a couple of times a year. There many occasions when bad weather would normally give me anxiety but having the Bluetti in the cupboard gives me peace of mind.
