Having my new Bluetti AC240 and travelling around Australia, so far we have really enjoyed the portability and large range of equipment we can charge, Solar panels have proved to be a bonus in keeping our unit charged and ready to go.

THE JEWEL IN BLUETTI'S CROWN!

As part of Bluetti's Armor Series, the AC240 joins its smaller sibling, the AC60, as a dust and water resistant energy solution, perfect for camping, on a building site, or as a backup or off-grid power source. The unit is impressive right out of the virtually indestructible box it arrives in, with its streamlined design, quality construction, and excellent soft-feel handle grips, which are an excellent feature given the power station's considerable weight.

The AC240 impresses with its very capable 1536 watt hours, expandable to 10,136 with up to 4 B210 Batteries. It also boasts a 2400 watt Pure Sine Inverter, enough to power most household items, camping devices or a tradesperson's tools etc. from the generous 4 AC outlets provided. Another clever feature is the mirroring of the upper and lower AC outlets which make it easier to plug in bulky power adaptors without blocking other AC outlets. Bluetti's excellent Power Lift mode has also been included, which will allow resistive loads like kettles or heating elements to be powered up to an impressive 3600 watts!

With the increasing popularity of USB-C devices, the AC240 provides 2 of these outlets, along with 2 USB-A ports, a standard 12v 10 amp Cig Outlet, and as a bonus, a 12v 30 amp RV outlet, the cable for which should be available soon. The 30 amp output will allow easy use of 12 volt ovens and other similar appliances, with power draws up to a maximum of 360 watts, making the socket a lot more versatile than the standard 10 amp option.

Using the AC240 is simple and easy, with a selection of buttons for overall Power On and Off, AC Output, DC Output and USB output. When the unit powers up, you are immediately greeted with Bluetti's new and improved LCD screen, first seen in the AC70 and AC200L units. The brightness of the larger display is astounding, with a wealth of available information and function icons, making operation of the unit simple and easy.

Connecting to the Bluetti App is a simple process with all of Bluetti's compatible power stations, but with the AC240, WiFi has also been included to compliment the usual Bluetooth connectivity. Once connected to the Internet, the unit's many functions can be controlled remotely without the limitations of Bluetooth range.

Solar charging has also been improved with upgraded specifications allowing for a maximum input of 1200 watts, accepting 11v to 60v OCV/VOC with up to 21 amps.

The AC240 also features a seamless UPS option with 15ms switching, 5 recharging options, BLUETOPUS AI-BMS, protecting the batteries against over charge or discharge etc., up to 3,500 life cycles, a ten-year lifespan and an industry-leading six-year warranty.

Destined to be the Jewel in Bluetti's Crown for its unique and innovative features, the AC240 is the perfect companion for off-road campers, tradespeople, and off-grid dwellers, as well as offering reliable home backup options to keep the lights on and the fridge cold during an outage.

Q1: Is the AC240 power station waterproof ?

No, the AC240 power station is not waterproof. However, it does boast an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, providing protection against environmental factors including sea wind and corrosion.
Q2:What does IP65 rating mean?

A:

An IP65 Rating means the product has the highest level of dust protection, and is able to withstand low-pressure water jets from all directions.
Q3: Are the outlets of the AC240 also IP65 rated?

A:

Yes, if water enters when the cover is open, simply wait for the outlet to completely dry or wipe it dry before continuing to use. Please ensure that any appliances used in damp conditions are also waterproof to prevent potential damage to the devices.
Q4: Why is the charging power often too low?

A:

AC240 has a built-in intelligent BMS (Battery Management System) that automatically adjusts the charging power in response to the battery temperature and SoC (State of Charge), thus protecting the battery and extending its lifespan.
Q5: How long does it take to fully charge the AC240?

A:

The AC240 supports Turbo Charging with a maximum input of 2,200W, allowing a full charge in 70 minutes.
